Ellen Berends Muskegon Obituary – Passed Away! Ellen Berends of Bellaire, Michigan who was the previous DDA Director at City of Coopersville Government died September 23, 2021. Berends concentrated on Criminal equity/Law Enforcement at Grand Rapids Community College.
Berends leaves behind her 4 Norse Alumni Soccer Players, Jake, Christian, Emma, and Grace, and spouse of long-term Norse Girls and Boys Soccer Coach Ryan Berends.
Berends was the previous Taste of Muskegon seat. Ellen filled in as the seat from 2013 to 2017 and was instrumental in the association of Taste of Muskegon, including recommending the area change to Hackley Park
