Frank Stella, Donald Judd, and Yayoi Kusama all belong to minimalist art. Their paintings are as simple as the movement, but not as easy to understand as the movement. There has been an increase in minimalist painting since the 1960s at the latest. The fascination with the art is as deep as the joy of go to btccasinoscanada.com.

Minimalism has become famous in art and music. And now it has finally become a lifestyle in its own right. But what is behind this global trend? Is it as self-explanatory as one might think?

The general logic behind this lifestyle is to focus what you have now on what you like and what keeps you going. This is directed against any kind of distraction. But you should not misunderstand this to mean that you can always be in your comfort zone. It has nothing to do with that. It can neither force you to leave your comfort zone nor stay there. Only to change it.

The trend has also reached social media. Instagram, in particular, is full of pictures and posts showing how to live as a minimalist. They mainly show furniture and interior design. The three basic colors of a minimalist room are black, white, and gray. Without any kind of decoration. Except for a few plants. But there are no fancy posters or other useless but nice-looking things on the shelves.

IS IT ECOLOGICAL?

Basically, yes. Because it is against waste. One of the most pressing problems of our time. But just buying less is not a solution. You have to examine what you buy. And since this lifestyle does not involve dieting or focusing on food or cuisine, it does not touch on any other important aspect of ecology.

Looking at the furniture, it is obvious that no space is wasted with something that is not needed. This means that you can find a bed, a table, and a wardrobe. Maybe one or two shelves for books. Because reading is important.

An eye-catching feature is a large table. With a white laptop on it. Just for work. So there are no distractions on it. And it is always tidy. Not just on the desk, but in the whole room or apartments for rent in Philadelphia, PA.

Furniture stores, like Ikea, have also discovered this movement. They are trying to fulfill people’s desire to live with less. Or at least make it look like they do. Because the market always wants to have an influx. That explains why these stylish but minimal desks, tables, and shelves are increasingly expensive. They look so modern that people are willing to pay a little more.

It may seem difficult to follow such a simple trend. But is it really that hard? That depends entirely on you. Although most people grow up in a consumer society and are spoiled by things, you should ask yourself what you want.

But you should not overdo it. Keep things that have meaning or  memory. No one wants you to part with family photos or souvenirs.
