A redirection is set up by means of Coate and Walcot.
A Wiltshire Police representative said: “We ask that drivers if it’s not too much trouble, keep away from this space if conceivable and find and elective course.”
Officials have resumed one path of the southward carriageway, with traffic moving gradually.
