Cairns Central Death – Passed Away! A man has passed on after his throat was cut in a Cairns retail plaza after a quarrel coming about because of a “chance occurring”, police say. The 35-year-elderly person passed on at Cairns Central retail plaza around 8am on Wednesday morning. A 39-year-elderly person, who police accept to be answerable for the man’s passing, is in care yet has not been charged.
Police are looking to decide whether the two men are known to one another.
“The slash is to the throat and he passed around 20 minutes after the injuries were incurred,” Detective Inspector Kevin Goan said.
A man is dead after a quarrel at Cairns Central retail outlet on Wednesday morning.
“Our prompt data is that it seems to have been a possibility occurring.
“The guilty party was unflinching in what he expected.”
Goan said there was an “measure of blood all over the place” and there were “various observers”.
He said the quarrel happened on the ground floor of the retail outlet.
The middle has been shut and a prohibition zone has been set up to set up the crime location, with people in general requested to keep away from Bunda, Spence, McLeod and Aplin roads.
