Gull lake accident – Death: A man blamed for causing an accident while inebriated that killed a swimmer on Gull Lake this late spring will confront preliminary, a Kalamazoo County judge administered Friday. Tyler Boyd is accused of working a watercraft while inebriated making demise in association the accident the caused the passing of a 18-year-old swimmer on Gull Lake on July 5, as per court archives. Jack William Mitchell, 18, of Richland Township, was killed in the accident.
After a fundamental assessment for the situation Friday, Nov. 20, Kalamazoo County District Judge Anne Blatchford said there was adequate proof introduced, and governed the case be bound over to Circuit Court for preliminary.
Emily Merz affirmed she has known Boyd for a long time, and they are exceptionally dear companions. She went sailing with Boyd on July 5, and an aggregate of five individuals were ready when the accident occurred, she affirmed.
“We hit a swimmer,” Merz said, when gotten some information about the boat ride that day.
Not long before the accident, she said she saw in the water a swimmer’s head, wearing a pink swim cap, straightforwardly before the boat. She promptly cautioned Boyd, Merz affirmed, and he responded rapidly.
