Wendy Moten Injury Video – Moten was back on Monday night’s scene of “The Voice” to sing Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” with both of her arms in projects. The Nashville-based Time Jumpers artist said she broke her right elbow and cracked her left wrist when she tumbled over the speaker following her presentation with mentor Blake Shelton and his group.
“I tumbled down beautiful hard,” she said yet later added, “the show should continue.”
Shelton told Moten, “there genuinely is no keeping you down.”
“Simply guarantee me that you will not break both your legs,” he added.
“I ain’t breaking nothing!” she shot back. “You may need to wheel me out on a wheelchair, get me up to sing, set me back, and wheel me back out
She held her right arm still and near her body as she conveyed an unpleasant, melancholy form of Parton’s “Jolene” that left the adjudicators raving.
“Most importantly, I know what your week has been similar to because I asked, and praise to you for being on this stage at present and finishing this since you know what it expenses, and you know what you need, and it’s great,” Kelly Clarkson said. “To get around here as though nothing happened to you, and you’re entirely fine, and to recount to a story like that in such a tragic manner. It was so wonderfully pitiful, which resembles my beloved sort of music. Thus, great job!”
Shelton added: “Incidentally, America, I’ve never seen a superior illustration of solidarity and persistence and valor remaining on this stage, not losing center around what she came here to do, which is to win this thing!”
