Charles Winkler Obituary – Passed Away! Good Charles R. Winkler, 86, resigned judge of the Cook County circuit court and Veteran, died in his home Sat. Oct. 2, encircled by his caring spouse Connie [nee Trumbull Wolf] and relatives.
Conceived Jan. 12, 1935, to the late Charles and Teresa Winkler, he was quite a while inhabitant of Chicago, Riverside, and River Forest. An alum of St. Mell’s High School, Loyola University, and Depaul University, School of Law.
He had a long lasting and renowned vocation beginning in 1960 till his retirement as an adjudicator in 2011. During that time, he was an accomplice in numerous practices just as filling in as President toward the West Suburban Bar Association. All through his vocation he wrote many articles and distributed in lawful diaries.
Charles was an ardent explorer, remembering investing energy at his townhouse for Acapulco, Mexico where he traveled for more than 50 years. During his time there he wrote 3 travel versions of “The Gringo’s Guide to Acapulco” where he was tenderly known as ‘Carlos’.
Charles is the dad of Chuck and Michael (Wendy). Step-father of Jimmy (Dana) and Bradley (Jenny) Trumbull. Pleased Papa Charlie of Grant and Cameron Winkler, Grandpa Chuck of Nicole and Amanda Trumbull. Sibling to Bill and Clarice and James and Carol Winkler. Brother by marriage to Helen and the late Michael McGovern. Appreciated uncle and dear to cousins and companions.
