The grade five and six understudies were praising their last day of term at Hillcrest Primary School in Devonport, in the state’s northwest, when the episode happened.
Police and crisis administrations, including two helicopters, hurried to the scene in practically no time and started regulating emergency treatment.
Tasmania Police Commissioner Darren Hine said an examination was in progress into the episode and the Coroner had visited the location of the misfortune.
